Here are a few things to get excited about (or at least plan for!)...

Sturdy Dirty 10th Anniversary!!

Yep! We've been doing this for 10 years and we want to celebrate that milestone with a proper post-race party on Saturday. More details to come!

New trails at Raging River

They are being built now and hopefully we'll get to race them in July! If you'd like a sneak peek, just sign up for one of our dig days. You'll get to help build AND ride them too!

Registration cost increase

Registration fee for 2024 will be $110.

New for 2024

Course

Course

ABOUT THE RACE | The courses for all categories will consist of timed downhill-orientated sections interspersed with uphill transition (not timed) trail riding and fun-filled aid stations.

ABOUT THE COURSE | Sturdy Dirty racers should, at minimum, have intermediate skill and fitness levels to be comfortable with the trails on course. Our Enduro Lite, Beginner and Sport race segments will mostly be on blue downhill trails that tend to be winding, with roots and rocks and some rollable jumps and drops. You will want to be able to stay on your bike for the majority of the trail, though walking a small number of features is an option.

CATEGORIES | Not sure you're in the right category? Don’t worry! You can easily change your category up online until July 3rd at 5pm. You can also change your category when you pick up your race packet race. Check out the FAQ to learn how.

The following are ESTIMATES to give you an idea of what to expect and to help you decide which category is right for your skill and fitness level.

Event Details

New this year: 2024 marks our 10th anniversary so we are going to party.

Getting to the race: We're staging at Snoqualmie Point Park. This is the huge and beautiful park at the base of the Raging River State Forest trail system.

Camping and Lodging: We will have limited, primitive, on-site camping for Friday night and Saturday night. Only cars, tents, vans and small RVs (<22 feet) are permitted due to space and terrain. NO TRAILERS. Reservations will be required. Check back for details.

Discover Pass: You'll need a Discover Pass to park in the lots at Raging River and Snoqualmie Point Park.

What to expect On-Course

  • You will ride a combination of road and single track between stages, with all stages raced on single-track only.

  • At each stage, you will line up for your turn - expect a line. Its good to bring a coat to stay comfortable while waiting.

  • We also attempt to group racers by category for each stage, however, we expect that racers from different categories will start to mix more on later race stages. Be prepared for passing; be patient and courteous as both a passer and a passee.

  • We have fabulous aid stations! However, they may be serving up food and drinks that may not work well for you. They will have water available for topping off bottles, but plan to be self-sufficient so you can be well-prepared for the day.

  • We have amazing volunteers! It is how we are able to put on this race. Thank them often.

Sturdy Dirty Do's

  • Keep track of your timing chip. $100 if you lose it!!!

  • While riding on the course you must wear your helmet (that includes climbing!!!!)

  • Enjoy our aid stations

  • Enjoy a free meal and beverages (non-racer friends & family can purchase a lunch).

  • Hang out after the race for the awards and raffle. Raffle tickets and merchandise will also be for sale.

  • Partner Policy: Your partner can only ride with you during the race if (a) your partner is also registered to race, or (b) they have been specifically provided a race plate and otherwise permitted to ride with you by the race organizers. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • Dog Policy: Please leave your dog at home - we love dogs, but there are lots of people and not much space. It’s a good recipe for disaster. If you must bring your dog, they must be leashed and in your control at all times. They are not allowed on the course. And PICK UP THE POO! Nobody likes poop-shoes.

Gear List

  • Timing chip: You will get your timing chip when you pick up your race packet. If you pick your race packet up on Friday night DON'T FORGET IT ON SATURDAY!!

  • Hydration and Nutrition: Bring enough water and food to fullfill your own hydration and nutritional needs. We have fabulous aid stations but we don't recommend that you rely on that unless you like bacon and whiskey to fuel your performance. They should have water, but it's gonna be hot and they may run out! There is a creek at the bottom of CCDH that can supply you with cold water if you have a water filter.

  • Basic bike supplies: Tube, plugs, CO2 cartridge or pump, tire levers, multi-tool, master link, etc.

  • Helmet and armor: Helmet, eye-protection, armor/body protection. A Full face helmet is not required but highly recommended.
