Silver Mountain? Yes, please!!

What do I crave? A seemingly endless ride, cruising by beautiful trees on perfectly manicured trails while taking in stunning mountain views and ending with a party in the parking lot to celebrate each ride down. The place to satisfy that craving? Silver Mountain Bike Park. Silver Mountain is like the tread to my tires, the lube to my chain, and has easily become one of my favorite mountains to ride.

When I saw that Silver Mountain is going to be in the lineup for the Sturdy Dirty Race Series of 2018, I howled with excitement! I’ve raced the North American Enduro Cup for the past two years and have looked forward to returning to Silver every time. The variety of trails at the bike park is on point and includes flowy corners, perfect table jumps, fun and technical roots, steeps, drops, rocks, and more. There are many line options and alternate routes, which is great for both newer and advanced riders to enjoy the ride down. Plus, it’s always encouraging to cheer each other on along the way!

Kellogg, Idaho is a welcoming and quirky town along I90. It has everything you need, including the beautiful Coeur d’Alene River, a pump track, Yoke’s Fresh Market, bike shops, bars, and a quaint family restaurant, Moose Creek Grill…yum! And of course, a water slide park at the resort. The entire town is within a short riding or walking distance, so you can park your car, set up camp in the lot (right by the gondola), and save your energy for the trails. If there is one thing you set out to do this summer, go to Silver Mountain for the Sturdy Dirty Enduro on July 14th. You will feel like a bawse for finishing the race, and have a ton of fun with your friends! It may even become your new favorite riding spot, too.
